Humans (humanity, humankind1) are the youngest of the giantkin subspecies, but also the most plentiful on Dia. They are defined as homogenous, hybrid, or sometimes a half-breed subspecies. Generally, most settlements of humans share a history and culture which derives from long forgotten meetings, interactions, trade, and generational community between a mixture of giantkin lineages, eventually becoming its own distinct culture through ethnogenesis.

Humans often define their own identity by building governments, temples, libraries, and codes of law to stand as a testament to their values. Some take rigorous and vigilant pride in their specific mix of heritage, while others have lost all recollection of their ancestral roots. You cannot be more or less human, although perhaps the more militant among them would disagree, maintaining exclusivity based on the number of generations separating them from their giantkin ancestors.
Adaptable to many different climates and biomes, humans have spread over much of Dia, spilling into areas untouched by the direct descendants of Giantkin. As such they span such a broad spectrum it is hard to group them into a specific archetype.
